“That sounds sweet, the best friendships come from adversity.” Mami said.
Mami was a little startled, I want to tell them…they are my friends and team-mates. Mami gave a sad smile.
“It isn’t happy like yours or even me standing up for someone.” She sighed. “A few years ago I was in the car with my family, we had just come back from a family outing.”
Mami’s smile grew. “I remember us singing to silly songs and laughing. Then…Then all I can see is white and all I hear is this noise so loud it deafens me into silence. I remember pain and the realisation that I was dying.”
Mami looked about and tried to give a reassuring smile to the others…they were looking at her with shocked and saddened expressions. I don’t want them to feel sad for me.
“That is when I saw Kyuubey. He appeared and asked me to wish for anything….I did I wished for him to save me. In exchange I now fight witches and risk my life but then risking it is better then dying like that isn’t it?”
Mami sighed and smiled tighter. She didn’t regret it but she wished she had more time to think over her wish.
Wow, Erika thought sadly. And I thought that the way I became a Precure was bad. “I would have picked the same thing,” she said. It was the only thing she could really think of to say. “A glass half full is better than a glass fully empty, right?”
Everyone else had shared their stories, so Erika decided to share hers. “I became Precure when a new girl named Tsubomi moved next door to me. We didn’t get along, though I tried to be her friend. She was very annoyed by me. However, when I was walking in the park later on the day I met her, my Heart Flower changed color, and so a Desert Apostle turned me into a monster. Even though she didn’t like me, Tsubomi turned into Precure and saved me.”
“Though she told me it was a dream, we became friends anyways, even though we still weren’t very close for a while. Soon, I saw her fighting another person who had been turned into a monster after their Heart Flower began to wilt from despair and jealousy. The monster had defeated Tsubomi, and was killing her. So, since she saved me, I did the only thing I could. I agreed to Coffret’s plan that would let me become Precure, and then I saved Tsubomi and the girl who had become a monster.”
“It’s been really tough, but I don’t regret it!” Erika laughed. “There were four of us, and even though there was a lot of sadness- Itsuki’s sick brother, Yuri’s dead partner and missing father, all the people with wilting flowers- we’ve still been able to enjoy happiness.”
